What is the Kunga Fest Fundraiser?
This fall for our bi-annual fundraiser we are grateful to support NAMI NRV, National Alliance on Mental Illness local affiliate in the New River Vally. October 10th is World Mental Health Day. This year we are also hosting in memory of a team member we lost in October 2025 and want to make an impact for those in need in our community.
NAMI is a lifeline for individuals and families who are facing the challenges of mental illness. Every day, the organization provides free support groups, education programs, crisis resources, and advocacy to ensure no one has to navigate mental health struggles alone. The NAMI mission is simple and powerful: to build a community where every person affected by mental illness has access to hope, help, and a path toward recovery.
Locally in the NRV, offerings include support groups for individuals living with mental illness (Connections) and family members (Family Support Group), educational classes for family members (Family-to-Family), and hopefully an educational class for individuals (Peer-to-Peer) in the future. Information and registration are available in the link to the form below or email [email protected]

Your support helps NAMI NRV keep all services free, accessible, and available both locally and (virtually) statewide — from rural counties to major cities. Every donation fuels life-changing programs, empowers families, and ensures that every Virginian can say: You are not alone.
NAMI focuses on support, advocacy, and education.
NAMI is such a great cause but it is especially close to our hearts in memory of a team member. Every type of support goes a long way. We are in this together!
