"I had always been interested in yoga and had gone to a few practices in different locations around the New River Valley, but never really felt like I could clear my mind anywhere. The "hot yoga" sign at In Balance really caught my eye and I decided to try it out. After doing the "week triall" with different classes and instructors, I became hooked (or obsessed you could say!). Not only was the Hot Yoga amazing, but the Vinyasa, Power Hour, and Restorative Yoga and Meditation classes as well. I decided to go for the 30 day challenge before school started for the spring, and have not gone a day without doing yoga since! I started out not being able to touch my toes, and a month later, not only am I able to do that, but I have started doing headstands! The studio is amazing, with no outside noise and such positive energy flowing around the room. Every instructor I have practiced with has been great helping with my poses and encouraging me to be patient with my body. With the help of the In Balance staff, I have become more in tune with my body and mind, and have truly felt a transformation."

The instructors are incredibly nice and have really been instrumental in helping me improve my practice. "I am very grateful for the presence of the studio and to the variety of classes and instructors. Caitlyn and I met at InBalance last summer during a period of transition in both of our lives. Caitlyn had just moved to Blacksburg from California and I had just returned home to Blacksburg after grad school. After our first yin class with Courtney, we continued to meet up for lunch, lectures, art openings and yoga. I don't think either of us could have made it through the last year without the support of a true yogi friend.
