Samantha Harden, PhD, 500 RYT received her 300 hour registered yoga designation through Yoga Alliance in March of 2020 (received 200 hour in June of 2017). Both trainings were through accredited programs offered by In Balance Yoga Studio, Blacksburg, VA– with the 300 hour being with the Kunga School of Yoga. Through this training Samantha was able to combine her academic background (PhD in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise, Virginia Tech) and her passion for matching breath with movement. The founding principle of her classes is related to the yoga ethical guideline of ahimsa (non-violence and compassion) to our bodies and our practices. She teaches beginners to level 2/3.
