After years of playing competitive sports, Rachel discovered yoga in her hometown of Winchester VA, in 2015 and immediately fell in love. Fueled by her passion for spreading her love for yoga and all of its benefits, she completed her 200 Hour Teacher Training at In Balance Yoga Studio in Blacksburg, VA with Nicole Fitzwater Boyle in June of 2017. In Rachel’s mind, yoga is a mental and physical practice that allows students to find inner peace within the four corners of their mat through  movement and connecting to their breath. With her background in athletics and her vinyasa roots, Rachel loves to teach a dynamic, vinyasa class that allows students of all levels to challenge themselves. Off the mat, Rachel is often found either outside, working out, or with her nose in a book. If she was to give her students one piece of advice she would tell them, “Come to class ready to move and to have some fun.”
