In 1997 Laurie discovered Iyengar style hatha yoga, Kundalini yoga and Ram Dass’ Be Here Now. That has opened her path to continuous growth, expansion and exploration. She has
completed two teacher trainings in Vinyasa Yoga, each with strong influences from the schools of Dharma Mittra, Jivamukti and Ashtanga’s first series. Breath, drishti, bandha, alignment, the
movement of energy through the poses and an opening to joy strongly influence Laurie’s practice. When not on the mat, she works as an RN and is devoted to her husband, dog and
pursuing her interest in functional medicine and nutrition.
