Kacy discovered yoga in 2010 as a way to build strength and manage stress. While practicing at Charm City Yoga in her hometown of Baltimore, MD, she realized the transformative possibilities and universal benefits of the practice and became determined to share it with others. In 2012, Kacy began teaching small groups of friends. When she moved to Blacksburg, VA a year later, she joined the Blacksburg Yoga Collective and has taught regularly ever since. Kacy loves to teach beginners and her classes are accessible for all levels.

Kacy completed her 200-hr Hatha Yoga training with Anna Pittman at The Breathing Space. She discovered Kundalini Yoga in 2013 and was blown away by the near instantaneous effect upon her entire system. She completed her 100-hr Power of Prana training with Martha McAlpine of Yogaworks Baltimore in May 2017. Kundalini Yoga philosophy is based on the 7 chakras or energy points located along the spine. Each class uses specific breath techniques and focuses on the movements of the spine to help you open and release stuck energies. Students make repetitive gestures for a given duration to build strength and stamina and then pause for ease and clarity.
