Francenia Richmond started practicing yoga in 2003 to help ease the pain of sacral joint dysfunction. She quickly realized the physical and healing benefits on the body and continued to practice for 10 years. After leaving Blacksburg for a stretch, straying from her practice and a shoulder injury, she was inspired to return to yoga at In Balance Yoga Studio. A year and a half after returning to yoga she was further inspired to delve deeper and learn more about the Science of Yoga. In 2017, she completed her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training through In Balance Yoga with Nicole Boyle. Francenia loves to share the physical, spiritual and mindfulness benefits of a daily yoga practice.

Francenia resides in Christiansburg with her husband, Jack and 2 cats, Lucy and Butter. She enjoys camping, hiking, travel, cooking, growing flowers and spending time with her family.
