Emily grew up in Blacksburg where she began practicing yoga as a teenager. She completed her 200 Hour Teacher Training in hot yoga and vinyasa with In Balance Yoga in 2011. She is grateful for many teachers that have inspired her in the New River Valley and elsewhere. Her classes integrate creativity and alignment, linking fluid breath with movement. She is inspired by the spaciousness and presence that yoga cultivates. Emily loves sharing yoga with others and strives to make her classes accessible and welcoming to all. She is currently a physical therapy student in Richmond, but visits Blacksburg frequently and loves to return home to the IBY community!
