Christie began practicing yoga and meditation in 2010 as a remedy for anxiety and a means of connecting with her body in a positive way after years of gymnastics training. Through a regular practice she found yoga to be a pathway to inner clarity and calm as well as other numerous forms of healing. She was inspired to share these benefits with others and received her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training certification from Shambhava Yoga in 2014. Her goal as a teacher is to provide a safe and welcoming space for anyone wishing to connect more deeply to their body, mind, and spirit. She enjoys teaching yogis of all levels and styles and sees her role as a teacher as one of a student as well—every moment is an opportunity for spiritual growth! She is beyond grateful for the opportunity to be a teacher and for the lifelong journey that yoga provides.
