Annie began practicing yoga in high school. During graduate school, she re-discovered the mental and physical benefits of yoga and committed to her practice. She completed her 200 hour Kunga yoga teacher training with In Balance Yoga Studio in Blacksburg, VA and is registered with Yoga Alliance. Annie’s classes focus on connecting breath with movement. Offering options and encouragement, her classes are accessible for everyone. Annie views yoga as a tool for slowing down, balancing effort and ease, and fostering a mind-body connection on and off the mat. Outside of yoga, Annie works in public health research and is a registered dietitian nutritionist. Off her mat, you can find Annie hiking and biking, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with her family, friends, and cat, Basil.
