Amy completed her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training at In Balance Yoga in 2017, where she studied under Nicole Boyle. She is a registered yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance. Amy is a life-long resident of Blacksburg, VA. She received her Bachelor of Science from Radford University. She also holds a Master of Science in Education and Health Promotion, as well as a Master of Public Health from Virginia Tech. She found yoga as a source for relaxation and centering while juggling the responsibilities of working full-time and raising a family. Amy appreciated the physical well-being and the peace and calm that she found through her yoga practice, and is excited and very grateful to be able to teach this practice that she loves to others. Amy enjoys teaching hot yoga and vinyasa style classes. Amy’s classes provide a welcoming environment where everyone is comfortable to share their energy and yoga practice. Amy has attended many mindfulness trainings and is a certified Koru Mindfulness Instructor. Amy is also certified as a 5Elements Flow Yoga teacher with the Kunga Yoga School and Kristin Cooper-Gulak with Noelle Whittington at IBY, December 2017. Amy enjoys spending time with her husband, Brad, and sons, Cole and Parker. In her spare time she loves to travel, read, garden, and hike.
