The therapeutic applications of yoga bring an excellent complement to traditional Western healing modalities with the understanding that each individual is an integrated body-mind-spirit system whose optimal functioning depends on deep awareness and dynamic balance. This holistic therapy offers tools for self healing including yoga postures, breathing and concentration techniques, the use of sound and energetics, lifestyle inquiry, and relaxation techniques.
Our process of assessing the individual involves postural assessment, breathing patterns, Ayurvedic constitution, discussion of beliefs and personal needs, and questions regarding digestion and lifestyle. Based on this information, we establish a customized treatment plan for self-healing in a nurturing, safe and confidential environment.
Yoga Therapy is offered on a sliding scale, and rates vary.
A therapeutic yoga practice is a daily practice, but the good news is that as little as 10 minutes a day can make a difference!
